Who should participate in PGECET 2012 Final Phase Web Counselling? 

a. Who secure a seat in earlier phase of web based counseling and wish to move to some other college.

b. Candidates who participated in earlier phase of web based counseling and could not secure a seat.

c. Candidates who did not participate in earlier phase even though he / she has been called for counseling.

d. Candidates who were allotted a seat but didn’t report / pay the fee at the college 

e. A candidate allotted a seat in earlier phase but cancelled his / her admission.

Candidates have to pay non-refundable processing fee of Rs.300/- (SC/ST) and Rs.600/-(others) at  the time of certificate verification.

Hyderabad, July 21: PGECET 2012 Counseling is likely to begin from August first week, according to Prof. Venugopal Reddy, convener, PGECET. Thousands of students are eagerly looking for clarity on PGECET counseling schedule, but authorities are silent on the issue.
However, The PGECET 2012 convener has given an update to the media on the possible counseling date and colleges list as on 2011.
Going by the students anxiety, we have tried again to get the actual date, but PGECET officials said, they have not yet decided the dates till now. There will be a notification during the August 1st or 2nd week, the official said. PGECET schedule is expected only after this EAMCET and other CET’s admission calender release. So, candidates, who were looking for the schedule has to wait for some more time.
PGECET 2012 counseling aspirants can now check the details of the colleges offering various Engineering PG courses in each district.

Post-Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET-2012)

Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (PGECET) is a AP State Level Common Entrance Test for admission into Regular PG Courses in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Pharmacy and Planning (ME / M.Tech./M.Pharmacy / M.Arch / M. Tech. / M. Plg./Graduate level Pharm-D (Post Baccalaureate) courses for the academic year 2012-2013 conducted by University College of Engineering, Osmania University on behalf of A.P. State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), a statutory Body of the Government of A.P., Hyderabad.

Eligibility:
1. The candidate should of Indian Nationality.
2. The Candidate should satisfy the local/ non-local status requirements as laid down in the regulations of admission.
3. Candidate should obtain at least 50% marks (45% in case of candidate belongs to reserved category) in the qualifying examination.

Important Dates For Online Application Process :

Mode of PGECET-2012 Entrance Test

• PGECET-2012 examinations consist of each paper of 2 hours duration and carry a maximum of 120 marks.
• All the question papers of PGECET-2012 will be objective type.
• Candidates have to mark the correct answer by darkening the appropriate bubble against each question on an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) with HB Pencil only
• OMR Answer Sheets will be supplied along with the Question Booklet.

Instructions To Candidates:
1. Candidates are required to apply for PGECET-2012 test papers through Online only (printed hardcopy of the applications will not be accepted).

2. The application/ registration fee for each test paper is Rs. 500/- ( Rs 250/- in case of SC/ST)

3. Test is of two hour duration with 120 multiple choice objective type questions, carrying one mark for each question. The cut off mark in the Common Entrance Test is 25% , in case of SC/ST there is no Minimum Marks.

4. The examination will be held from 10.00 am to 12.00 am and 2.00pm to 4.00 pm as per the Time Table given in this Information Booklet.

5. The Question Papers will be in English only, syllabus of each test paper is given at annexure-A

6. Before applying for PGECET-2012 candidates must assure themselves that they have chosen the correct test paper, which qualifies them to become eligible to seek admission to the specific program they are interested in. The details of the courses offered by the Universities along with specified eligibility for each course and test to be written is given at Annexure-B. Candidates should ensure that they satisfy the eligibility criteria for admission into the preferred program as given in Annexure-B .

7. PGECET-2012 is held at three different cities in the state i.e., Hyderabad, Visakhapatnam, Tirupathi.

8. As per AICTE the eligibility criterion for admission to Engineering and Pharmacy is 50 % in the qualifying examination (45% for reserved category). Further, the qualifying degree (Professional courses) obtained under distance mode must have AICTE approval.

9. Candidate should satisfy local/non local status requirements as per AP GO Ms No 153.

10. Candidates can appear in the examination only by producing the Hall Tickets. The Hall tickets are to be downloaded from the website www.appgecet.org.

11. Separate Notification will be issued for admission based on GATE/GPAT Score.

12. A.P. State policy on reservation shall be followed in PG admissions excluding seats available for Sponsored category, from time to time.

13. The candidate can apply for multiple tests. However, separate registration fee must be paid for each test.

14. Appearing in the test does not guarantee admission. The candidate has to satisfy all the requirements at the time of admission.

PGEC 2011 and PGECET 2011 Admissions Notification

Update: 19-10-2011 The schedule for counselling is still not clear officially. But according to leading news papers of AP PGECET Counselling Notification will be released on 22nd October 2011 and counselling starts from 5th November 2011. It will be over by 15th November 2011.

APCHE already released circular regarding management quota seats. AICTE has given permission for 6 management quota seats out of total 18 this year. Remaining 12 seats are filled via councelling. GATE qualified students need to apply for PGEC to get admission into various PG courses offered by colleges in Andhra Pradesh. After filling the seats by GATE qualified candidates via PGEC counseling the remaining vacant seats will be filled by PGECET 2011 qualified candidates.

Last year i.e. 2010 the PGECET/PGEC admission procedure is conducted online via www.appgecet.nic.in.
Candidates have to verify their certificates online via help centers. The certificate verification process was started very lately i.e. on 28.10.2010 and ended on 30.10.2010. With in these 3 days all the candidates including GATE qualified and PGECET qualified have to verify their certificates.
After verification the dead line for options entry was 31.10.2010. Allotment Oder was placed on the official site on 3.11.2010. Candidates have to just download the allotment order and report it to their corresponding college.
Processing fee for Certificate Verification:
Candidates belonging to open category and Backward classes have to pay processing fee of Rs.600/- and Candidates belonging to SC/ST have to pay a fee of Rs.300/- in favour of APSCHE Hyderabad.
Tution Fee per Annum/Semester:
Tution Fee in University Colleges is Rs.15,000-Rs.25,000 per semester.
Tution Fee in University Colleges( Self Finance Course) Rs.57,000 per annum.
Tution Fee in private unaided Colleges is Rs.57,000 per annum.
The above tution fee is to be paid in the favour of Convenor, PGECET 2010,Admissions Hyderabad. Last year there is a benefit. Candidates whose parental income is below 1 lakh from all sources are exempted from paying tution fees subject to some conditions by Govt.
