SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2013 - Apply Online @ http://ssconline.nic.in

   Introduction:  Initially after the formation of Staff selection commission in year 1977, it was entrusted with responsibility of recruitment to various class III or Group ‘C’ posts. However, with passage of time it is also given responsibility to recruit Group “B” employees (from 1999) for the various Government departments. In pursuant of same function SSC is inviting application for Group B posts. The staff selection commission is going to conduct a combined examination to recruit junior engineers in central public and works department (CPWD), Military Engineering Service (MES) and in Central Water Commission (CWC) and Farakka Barrage on 26-05-2013.
   

SSC Junior Engineer Recruitment 2013 Details :

The application is invited to fill various vacancies of Junior Engineers in CPWD, MES and CWC departments through written examination and interview conducted by SSC.  These posts are for CPWD - Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical),  for MES - Junior Engineer (Civil), Junior Engineer (Electrical and Mechanical) and Junior Engineer (Quantity Surveying & Contract),  and for CWC - Junior Engineer (Civil and Mechanical). The candidate who will successfully qualify open competitive examination and recruited on these posts will be appointed on pay scale of Rs. 9300-34800 with a grade pay of Rs.4200.

Eligibility Criteria :

Age Limit 

• Candidates applying for these posts should not exceed maximum age limit as follows. The date for calculating maximum age limit is 01-01-2013.
• Maximum age is 27 Years in case of candidates applying for the post of Junior Engineer (Civil & Electrical) in CPWD and Junior Engineers (Quantity Surveying and Contract) in MES.
• Maximum age limit is 30 years for candidates of Junior Engineer (Civil) and Junior Engineer (Electrical & Mechanical) in MES posts.
• Maximum age is 32 years for Junior Engineers (Civil & Mechanical) in CWC and Farakka Barrage posts. 
• Relaxation in age will be given to candidates falling under various referred categories (SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-servicemen etc) as per government rules.

Educational Qualification

• candidates required to have minimum qualification for each posts as mentioned in notification. They should posses a degree or diploma from any recognized university / institution in respective fields. Candidates who not acquire such essential qualification as on 1-1-2013 will not be eligible to apply.

Selection Process :

• Selection will be made based on written examination and Interview. Written examination will consists of 2 papers of 500 marks. First paper (objective type on OMR sheet) will be of 2 hrs consisting question paper on General Intelligence and reasoning, general awareness and subject. .25 Negative marks will be given in case of wrong answers. A candidate who will secure minimum cut off marks in first paper will be only eligible for evaluation of second paper. Second paper (Conventional type) will be of subject like civil, mechanical, electrical engineering.  Also candidate who will qualify second paper of their subject will be called for interview. Interview will be of 100 Marks.

All applicants need to visit http://ssconline.nic.in website for online application. After submitting application form candidates will received registration number for future use. Fees of Rs. 100 can be paid only through SBI Net Banking or using challan form. Women, SC and ST candidates are not required to pay fee.
