APPSC Group 1 Exam Selection Process Details: Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission – APPSC carries out Group – 1 exam for the posts of various Subordinate Services and Ministrial Services in A.P State. Candidates who are eligible and interested may apply online application mode. The selection process consists written examination, Oral test and Final selection.APPSC Group – 1 exam selection process details given below.
1) Written examination: The written examination conducts APPSC in 2 stages. They are Preliminary and Main’s examination. The first stage Preliminary examination conducts meant for short-listing the number of candidates to be admitted to the Main Examination. This exam comprising General Studies & Mental Ability (objective type) paper contains 150 questions and 150 maximum marks, 2½ hours time duration for this examination. The second stage of the Main examination candidates who are qualified in first stage they will select for second stage Main examination in 1:50 ratio. In this Main examination consists 5 Conventional type Papers with Conventional type questions .They are Paper – I, II, III, IV, V and one General English paper .This General English paper is qualifying nature and the standard of this paper is that of S.S.C and this paper marks are not counted for Final Ranking.Each Paper carrying 150 marks and 3 hours time duration .Total this Main examination will carries 750 marks. Separate minimum qualifying marks will be given for Reservation candidates and others in Preliminary and Main’s examination
2) Interview/Oral Test: Candidates who are scored minimum qualifying marks in Main Examination they will be called for Interview on the basis of 1:2 ratio merit basis. This Interview maximum marks 75.Total this written examination and interview maximum marks 825.Minimum qualifying marks for SC/ST/PH candidate’s 247.50/825 , for BC’s 288.75/825 and others 330/825 .In this interview commission ask questions from attitude’s,decision makings, leadership qualities etc.
The final selection will be made on the basis of the total marks obtained by the candidate’s at Written Examination, and Oral Test taken together subject to the rule of reservation of appointments wherever it applies and number of vacancies available, physical fitness and medical standards .Selected candidates may allotted in their positions.
