APPSC invites online applications for recruitment to the post of 90 Forest Range Officers in A.P.Forest Service.

Scale of Pay: Rs. 15,280-40,510/-

Educational Qualifications:
(i)Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act or Provincial Act or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the University Grants Commission; or any equivalent qualification in the following subjects:-
(1) Agriculture (2) Botany (3) Chemistry (4) Computer Applications/Computer Science (5) Engineering (Agriculture/Chemical/Civil/Computer/Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical) (6) Environmental Science (7) Forestry (8) Geology (9) Horticulture 10) Mathematics (11) Physics (12) Statistics (13) Veterinary Science (14) Zoology
(ii) Physical Requirements: No person shall be eligible for appointment by Direct Recruitment unless:

For Men:
1. He is not less than 163 Cms. in height;
2. He has 79 Cms. around the Chest on expiration and must have on full inspiration, an expansion of not less than 5 Cms. and
3. He is able to walk 25 Kms. in Four (4) hours.

For Women:
1. She is not less than 150 Cms. in height;
2. She has 74 Cms. around the chest on expiration and must have on full inspiration, an expansion of not less than 5 Cms. and
3. She is able to walk 16 Kms. in four (4) hours

AGE: Minimum 18 years & Maximum 30 years as on 01/07/2011.
Relaxation of age:
Retrenched temporary employees in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months: 3 Years A.P. State Government Employees (Employees of APSEB, APSRTC, Corporations, Municipalities etc. are not eligible) :5 Years based on the length of regular service.
Ex-Service men: 3 years & length of service rendered in the armed forces.
N.C.C.(who have worked as Instructor in N.C.C.) : 3 Years & length of service rendered in the N.C.C.
SC/ST and BCs :5 Years

FEE: (Remittance of Fee) Each applicant must pay Rs. 100/- (Rupees One
Hundred Only) towards Application Processing Fee and Examination Fee RS.120/- (RUPEES ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY ONLY) (if Candidates are not exempted from payment of Fee).
Payment of Rs. 100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) towards application processing fee is compulsory for all Applicants.

Procedure of Selection:
The selection of candidates for appointment to the posts will be made by written examination (objective type), walking test and medical test as per rules for those qualified in written examination for eligible candidates.
